As a Software Engineer III - Trading Platform Development within the Asset & Wealth Management Technology organization, you will join an agile team to design, build, and deploy scalable applications for a multi-asset trading platform. You will develop production-quality Java-based microservices using streaming, non-blocking, and reactive programming paradigms while contributing to architectural discussions and domain-driven design adoption. Your daily work involves utilizing Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Redis, and AWS services to build resilient systems with RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures. You will also manage technical documentation via Swagger/OpenAPI, perform code reviews using TDD/BDD practices, and leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for refactoring and testing. The role requires expertise in SQL, NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to solve complex problems within the trading technology domain while ensuring high standards of security and monitoring.

What we're looking for

Experience with core Java across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD pipelines and operational support.
Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or MSK.
Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, and caching systems like Redis, GemFire, or Apache Ignite.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine code for performance and security.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, DevOps toolchains, and AWS cloud services.
Familiarity with trading systems, the FIX protocol, or modern front-end technologies like React (preferred).
