JOB TITLE: SoC Machine Learning Design Engineer As a member of the SoC design machine learning team, you will join a dynamic group building efficient application processors for next-generation products. You will develop generative AI and machine learning solutions to optimize RTL design, verification, and power, performance, and area efforts. Your daily work involves collaborating with internal multi-functional teams and the AIML organization to tailor solutions for specific chip-design domains. You will utilize deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX, alongside hardware description languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL. The role requires expertise in RAG systems, embedding models, and reinforcement learning to improve productivity and speed across the chip-design process. You will solve complex technical problems by integrating modern machine learning methods into hardware verification and front-end flows.

What you'll do

  • Develop generative AI and machine learning solutions to optimize RTL Design, Verification, and Power/Performance/Area efforts.
  • Implement machine learning methodologies to improve productivity and optimizations across SoC design functions.
  • Optimize chip-design processes for improved efficiency, quality, and speed.
  • Tailor machine learning solutions to meet domain-specific needs of internal multi-functional teams.
  • Monitor and integrate emerging technologies in machine learning and chip design to maintain state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Design and implement AI evaluation test suites and human evaluation frameworks.
  • Develop generative AI pipelines including RAG systems, embedding models, and retrieval strategies.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of a BS degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of generative AI and modern machine learning methods (preferred).
  • Experience with RAG systems, generative AI pipelines, AI evaluation, AI coding assistants, or AI infrastructure protocols (preferred).
  • Experience with deep neural networks and reinforcement learning (preferred).
  • Solid math background and understanding of algorithms and data structures (preferred).
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX (preferred).
  • Experience with hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL (preferred).
  • Experience with chip design and verification front end flows (preferred).
  • Master's or PhD with relevant publications (preferred).
