JOB TITLE: SoC Machine Learning Design Engineer As a member of the SoC design machine learning team, you will develop generative AI and machine learning solutions to optimize the chip-design process for application processors. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams and the AIML organization to improve productivity across RTL Design, Verification, and Power/Performance/Area efforts. Your daily work involves crafting methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and speed in hardware development. Required skills include practical knowledge of generative AI, modern machine learning methods, and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX. You should possess a solid math background, understanding of algorithms, and data structures. Preferred experience includes RAG systems, reinforcement learning, and hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL, alongside front-end tools for static timing analysis and UVM testbenches.

What you'll do

  • Develop generative AI and machine learning solutions to optimize RTL design, verification, and power/performance/area efforts.
  • Implement machine learning methodologies to improve productivity and optimizations across SoC design functions.
  • Tailor machine learning solutions to meet specific domain needs of internal multi-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain generative AI pipelines including RAG systems, embedding models, and retrieval strategies.
  • Design and implement test suites and human evaluation frameworks for AI model testing.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in machine learning and chip design to maintain state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Apply deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX to hardware design problems.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of a BS degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of generative AI and modern machine learning methods (preferred).
  • Experience with RAG systems, generative AI pipelines, AI evaluation, AI coding assistants, or AI infrastructure protocols (preferred).
  • Experience with Deep neural networks and reinforcement learning (preferred).
  • Solid math background and understanding of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX.
  • Experience with hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience with chip design and verification front end flows (preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Master's or PhD with relevant publications (preferred).
