As a Senior System Test Engineer, Networking, you will join the Cumulus Linux Verification Engineering Team to lead the verification of groundbreaking features and platforms for the Network Operating System. You will also engage with CPLD, BIOS, SecureBoot, and telemetry features to ensure quality for data centers that are accelerated, disaggregated, and software-defined to meet the demands of high-performance computing and AI growth.

What you'll do

Perform functional testing of Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 features on Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems.
Develop detailed feature and system test plans for new platforms and components.
Design and build test beds and network topologies to support platform verification.
Create and maintain automated test suites to ensure quality through continuous functional regression.
Identify, report, and track software defects in the defect tracking system while validating fixes.
Develop automation scripts using Python or other scripting languages for various features.
Conduct performance testing and troubleshoot complex issues within the network operating system.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Engineering.
Strong technical skills in problem-solving, design, coding, and debugging.
Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing features.
Experience with switch platforms, ASIC features, firmwares, and upgrades.
Expertise in CPLD, BIOS, SecureBoot, SSD testing, and telemetry features.
Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages is required.
Experience working with Unix or Linux-based operating systems and standard software engineering practices.
