The Senior Staff Business Analyst joins the Data Engineering Team to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director Data Engineering, this role focuses on Analytic, Data Science, and Business Intelligence across multiple operating companies. You will engage with stakeholders to collect requirements, translating them into user stories and functional specifications for data integrations, data modeling, dashboards, and reports. Key responsibilities include prioritizing user stories for project releases and collaborating with technical teams to design efficient solutions. The role requires proficiency in data analysis, requirements elicitation, process modeling, SQL, Snowflake, and Power BI. Candidates must also possess experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile sprint methodologies. This position supports the technical infrastructure for life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology products.
Engage with stakeholders to understand business goals and collect functional requirements.
Translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications for data integrations and modeling.
Prioritize user stories into a sequence of projects and releases for the development team.

What we're looking for
5-7 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, or Data Engineering environments (preferred).
Strong proficiency in data analysis, requirements elicitation, process modeling, and SQL.
Hands-on experience leveraging Snowflake and Power BI to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
5+ years of hands-on experience working with Dashboards or Data Preparation.
3 years of experience working in Agile teams that work in sprints.
Ability to travel to Washington DC and global Danaher sites up to 10%.
Previous experience in Data Governance Reporting Tools (preferred).
