Senior Specialist, Systems Engineering (Optical)

What you'll do

• Manage system requirements, interfaces, and performance parameters using software like DOORS or Jama.
• Integrate optical terminals into satellite architectures through system design, testing, and validation.
• Lead technical activities including Root Cause Analysis (RCCA), Failure Review Boards (FRB), and Material Review Boards (MRB).
• Support the testing and troubleshooting of RF modules, systems, and sub-assemblies.
• Drive defect resolution to root cause by interfacing with Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments.
• Generate and review technical documentation, including test procedures, drawings, specifications, and Engineering Change Orders.
• Execute design trades to support technical decisions and improve product yield and throughput.
• Participate in and lead business pursuit efforts and vendor Statement of Work authoring.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain the required security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of optical communications, electrical engineering principles, and hardware application.
• Proficiency with requirements management software such as DOORS or Jama.
• Familiarity with the Space Development Agency (SDA) OCT Standard (preferred).
