Senior Specialist Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop electrical systems for electronic equipment on military and commercial aircraft.
• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools like Capital Harness or NX.
• Research and prepare engineering drawings while coordinating design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2 to 5 entry-level design engineers on assigned projects.
• Break down requirements into work packages and provide drawing status and budget estimates to platform leads.
• Perform electrical load analysis and develop load shedding schemes for various aircraft platforms.
• Support the testing and integration of systems directly on aircraft in hangar environments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 12 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to travel to and work in flight line and aircraft hangar environments.
• Previous experience in the defense aerospace industry (preferred).
• Experience interpreting SOW, requirements, and Systems Definition (preferred).
• Knowledge of CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
