What you'll do

Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and partners during the integration process.
Define technical solutions, document requirements, and guide partners through the implementation phase.
Support business development by scoping and designing novel features for large partners.
Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them via public APIs.
Improve the developer experience through documentation, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to support the API team.
Participate in feature definition, prioritization, and long-term strategy planning with the product team.
Collaborate with presales teams to support the sales cycle and secure new partnerships.

What we're looking for

At least 6+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering roles, preferably within financial services or a similar domain.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
Familiarity with design patterns and architectural principles including DDD, EDA, and microservices.
Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, service mesh, RESTful APIs, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
Experience working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and non-relational databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and work with diverse stakeholders.
Strong self-management skills to manage individual projects and prioritize tasks across various work streams.
A customer-centric approach to solving problems and delivering products.
