What you'll do

Design and architect scalable, performant application systems and infrastructure using MongoDB across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Lead architecture reviews to identify risks, evaluate trade-offs, and provide guidance for modernizing legacy systems.
Conduct discovery sessions with technical and business stakeholders to align MongoDB capabilities with measurable business outcomes and ROI.
Partner with sales leadership to manage the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including demonstrations, proof of value, and sizing.
Build relationships with developers, architects, and executives to drive adoption and advocate for long-term modernization strategies.
Generate demand through technical workshops, executive briefings, webinars, and other self-driven marketing activities.
Create reusable reference architectures, playbooks, and technical content to improve the effectiveness of the Solutions Architecture team.
Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on structured insights gathered from the field.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
8 to 11 years of experience in a customer-facing role (preferred).
5 to 7 years of experience in pre-sales with enterprise software (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or popular programming languages like Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead architecture reviews for complex applications and connect technical recommendations to business outcomes like ROI/TCO.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Experience with database programming, data engineering, AI/ML projects, or cloud provider certifications (preferred).
