What you'll do

Lead complex optimization initiatives from initial problem definition through technical design, implementation, and outcome validation.
Architect and build reusable software, data pipelines, dashboards, and automation to track cloud spend and engineering productivity.
Partner with finance and engineering leadership to define cost-benefit assumptions and validate realized savings.
Diagnose and resolve systemic inefficiencies in distributed services regarding compute, storage, and data movement.
Design and productionize AI-enabled forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated operational workflows.
Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-native services using infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
Manage the technical quality of integrations between engineering telemetry, billing systems, and financial reporting.
Mentor junior engineers through design guidance, code reviews, and technical coaching on shared initiatives.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Typically 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience using Python, Go, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Rust, or Scala.
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business objectives into technical designs and measurable outcomes across multiple services.
Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI) for cloud optimization decisions.
Proficiency in designing cloud-native services using CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or GitHub Actions.
Experience with microservices, containers, and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data/analytics platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, or PostgreSQL.
Experience building dashboards, data pipelines, or observability solutions using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Adtech or advertising industry experience (preferred).
Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, forecasting, AI-assisted engineering, or audience platforms (preferred).
