As a Senior Software Engineer on the Billing platform team, you will join the Microsoft Advertising Platform group to build the next generation of marketing and advertising solutions. You will lead the design, development, and architecture of critical platform capabilities including payments, budget control, invoicing, and financial feed systems. Your daily work involves designing and evolving highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems while driving end-to-end project delivery through monitoring and experimentation. What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Ability to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check.
Master's Degree in Computer Science and 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of experience (preferred).
Experience designing, building, deploying, and operating large-scale, highly available, and secure cloud services (preferred).
5+ years of experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating distributed systems in a production environment (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to independently drive complex technical initiatives from concept to production with high quality (preferred).
Experience leading technical design discussions and influencing engineering decisions (preferred).
Experience in online advertising, search, e-commerce, AI products, or large-scale platform modernization (preferred).
