What you'll do

Develop and support a Flask-based web application by consolidating Python modules into a secure user experience.
Build and maintain backend API endpoints to orchestrate application traffic and business workflows.
Maintain the web UI layer using modular code that integrates with backend APIs.
Design and implement secure database access patterns against Azure PostgreSQL using parameterized queries.
Support containerized application deployments across environments through configuration and release management.
Enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines including build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
Triage and resolve production issues related to the UI, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
Produce technical documentation for requirements, logic, and enhancements to support steady state operations.

What we're looking for

Experience building web applications and APIs using Python and Flask.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web UI development.
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience deploying and supporting applications on Azure App Service.
Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Ability to work independently while mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
