Senior Software Engineer The Senior Software Engineer joins the Microsoft Advertising Platform team to design, build, and evolve highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems. What you'll do

Design, build, and evolve highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
Lead the technical design and architecture of complex product features and services.
Drive end-to-end delivery of critical projects including implementation, monitoring, and experimentation.
Use telemetry and A/B testing to identify improvements for product health and customer experience.
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance through code reviews and best practices.
Influence technical direction and architectural decisions across multiple teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
Candidates must have at least 4 years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
A Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, is preferred.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check is required.
Experience designing, building, deploying, and operating large-scale, highly available, and secure cloud services is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience architecting and operating distributed systems in a production environment is preferred.
Experience leading technical design discussions and influencing engineering decisions across multiple teams is preferred.
Experience in online advertising, search, e-commerce, AI-powered experiences, or large-scale consumer products is preferred.
