What you'll do

Write clear, scalable, and high-quality frontend code using React and React Native.
Design and build stable, performant software while minimizing incidental complexity and over-engineering.
Own specific product components and technology areas to become a subject matter expert.
Perform thorough unit testing and integrate best-quality practices into the software development life cycle.
Mentor new teammates on software architecture, operations, and the broader technical landscape.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, team planning, and metric reviews.
Track security risks and mitigate or escalate them in a timely manner.
Provide customer support and participate in an on-call rotation as required.

What we're looking for

Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5 or more years of software development experience creating and maintaining mobile applications with React and React Native.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and core web technologies including HTML and CSS.
Fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms with experience in backend for frontend (BFF) architectural patterns.
Proficiency in prompting AI-powered development tools like Claude or Cursor to accelerate coding workflows.
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies, preferably AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS).
Experience with optimization utilizing monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog or Sentry.
Experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling, preferably Jenkins or Buildkite; familiarity with Git, GitLab, and Atlassian suite (preferred).
