What you'll do

Build secure, stable, and maintainable backend systems and APIs using Java, Python, or similar languages.
Develop features for the Access pillar to ensure account security and prevent unauthorized activities.
Write high-quality code that follows engineering best practices while minimizing technical debt and complexity.
Participate in team design, scoping, prioritization discussions, and the peer code review process.
Mentor junior engineers and lead projects to improve team software and internal processes.
Manage infrastructure using cloud technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Resolve root causes of complex problems to ensure systems are easier to maintain over time.
Estimate tasks accurately and deliver high-quality features on a consistent schedule.

What we're looking for

BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).
Strong experience building distributed, scalable backend systems and APIs using Java, Python, or similar languages.
Experience with full stacks, single-page applications, and/or micro frontends.
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and technologies, preferably AWS.
Understanding of DevOps concepts including containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
Expertise in testing concepts, test tools, and integrating best practices into the SDLC.
Experience with AI tools (Cursor, Claude, or Copilot) and mobile development (preferred); experience with analytics tools (preferred).
