What you'll do

Design, build, and support secure, scalable transaction processing platforms for the Acceptance Solutions division.
Perform hands-on software engineering and coding tasks for approximately 60-75% of the role.
Develop enterprise-scale distributed systems, APIs, and microservices using modern programming languages.
Implement event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka, message queues, and workflow orchestration.
Integrate Generative AI, agentic workflows, and RAG into production environments while maintaining safe practices.
Manage system reliability through observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana to meet SLOs.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS and SOX for payment processing.
Mentor other engineers and establish high engineering standards across cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for

A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience or 5+ years of relevant work experience without a degree.
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin.
Experience designing, building, and supporting APIs, web services, microservices, or enterprise integration services.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
Experience with system design, architecture, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
Experience building enterprise-scale distributed systems, APIs, or integration platforms (preferred).
Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka, message queues, or workflow orchestration (preferred).
Experience with authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, and mTLS (preferred).
