As a Senior Software Engineer in the Contact Automation team at Wise, you will lead the technical vision for the Wise Assistant, an AI-driven customer support solution. Your day-to-day involves designing and deploying scalable microservices using Java and Kafka, as well as contributing to Typescript and Python codebases. You’ll own intent detection systems, contact processing pipelines, and routing logic, integrating third-party AI agents and optimizing performance with AWS Bedrock LLMs. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with content designers to enhance user experiences and mentor junior engineers, ensuring best coding practices are followed in a dynamic international environment. What you'll do

What we're looking for
Extensive experience in AI/ML, particularly with LLMs in production environments.
Deep expertise in designing and maintaining microservices using Java and event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka).
Solid background in relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
Proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain clean RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock for deploying and managing LLMs.
Experience building and fine-tuning production-grade RAG systems.
Familiarity with Agentic workflows, AI Agent solutions, and multi-agent systems.
