What you'll do

  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor system health and lead incident response for service interruptions.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize code to improve performance, maintainability, and overall return on investment.
  • Create and manage design documents for products, applications, services, and platforms.
  • Take full ownership of assigned services across all cloud environments to ensure parity with commercial standards.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Drive project plans, release schedules, and work items in partnership with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct code and design reviews to share learnings and recommendations across engineering teams.
  • Proactively research and adopt new technologies to improve system reliability, observability, and efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Must have a Master's degree and 2+ years experience, a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience, or a Doctorate and 3+ years experience in technical fields.
  • Must possess equivalent experience to the specified educational and experience combinations.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
  • Must be a United States citizen as verified by a valid passport or other approved documentation.
  • Must have 3+ years of technical experience working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
  • Must have experience writing scripts and functional programming code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting to automate tasks.
  • Must possess end-to-end technical expertise in the architecture, code, features, and operations of specific products to improve performance and reliability.
  • U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
