What you'll do

  • Lead development of discrimination algorithms for EO/IR sensors to classify threats.
  • Design and implement signal processing pipelines including detection, feature extraction, and image processing.
  • Develop advanced decision logic to enhance classification performance in evolving threat environments.
  • Analyze and optimize algorithms considering noise characteristics, SNR, resolution limits, and environmental effects.
  • Build physics-based models and conduct simulations for validating discrimination algorithm performance.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant technical field (Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, etc.)
  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing signal processing algorithms for EO/IR sensors
  • Expertise in EO/IR sensor phenomenology including noise characteristics, detection theory, SNR analysis
  • Strong proficiency with signal processing techniques such as filtering, measurement generation from sensor data
  • Experience transitioning algorithms to production environments through modeling, simulation, and testing workflows
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience for engineers
  • Secret security clearance required
