Senior Scientist I, Host Cell Engineering

What you'll do

• Execute genetic engineering and characterization of CHO host and production cell lines.
• Optimize processes to improve recombinant protein productivity and product quality.
• Implement advanced technologies like CRISPR-Cas9, NGS, and AI to accelerate biological programs.
• Conduct independent laboratory research while troubleshooting experimental designs and equipment.
• Author technical reports and present data findings to leadership and project teams.
• Manage multiple projects across various therapeutic disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience, Master’s degree with 8 years of experience, or PhD with 0-2 years of experience in a scientific field.
• Strong background in cell and molecular biology with extensive experience in cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Experience with 'omics, genetic engineering, flow cytometry, FACS, NGS, expression vector design, bioinformatics, systems biology, ML, AI, or modeling (preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills including critical and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated scientific writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently design and execute experiments, interpret data, and identify follow-up strategies.
• Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
