Senior Scientist I, Cell Culture Process Development

What you'll do

• Develop and characterize CHO cell culture processes for cGMP biotherapeutic manufacturing.
• Lead initiatives to reduce cost of goods by improving platform processes and workflows.
• Design and execute experiments using DOE principles and report multi-variate analysis data.
• Apply Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tools to enhance cell culture processes.
• Author and review technical reports, protocols, and other key documents for projects.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, or related field with at least 10 years of experience.
• Proven ability to independently design experiments and deliver high-quality scientific output.
• Strong understanding of cell biology with extensive hands-on experience in mammalian suspension cell culture.
• Experience in applying Process Analytical Technology (PAT) to improve cell culture processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in cell metabolic modeling using mechanistic models or machine learning algorithms.
• Familiarity with bioreactor perfusion processes and upstream mammalian suspension cell culture techniques.
