What you'll do

Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
Lead technical engagements with customers during the trial phase to resolve issues.
Close complex opportunities using advanced competitive knowledge and technical skills.
Articulate Datadog's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Create and execute evaluation plans to educate customers on observability risks.
Provide product feedback and competitive landscape insights to internal business teams.
Maintain accurate records of customer input and deal outcomes in the CRM.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
Experience in programming and scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
Strong written and oral communication skills to articulate business value and technical advantages.
Ability to deliver product briefings, technical presentations, and demonstrations to potential clients.
Ability to develop and execute evaluation plans for customers regarding observability risks.
Ability to travel via auto, train, or air up to 45% of the time.
Ability to sit for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client sites.
