As a Senior Quality Systems Engineer, you will join the Quality team to develop internal quality management systems and lead digitization efforts across manufacturing sites and supplier locations. You will be responsible for managing QMS software implementation, coordinating internal and external audits, and developing a roadmap for tools and capabilities to support company scaling. Your daily work involves partnering with business system, product quality, and manufacturing engineers to prepare digital tools and ensure products meet mission requirements. The role requires expert knowledge of standards such as AS9100D or ISO 9001:2015, along with experience in data analytics, reporting tools, and software systems like Net Inspect, SAP, or ETQ. You will solve complex manufacturing challenges by driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement to ensure reliable product deployment within a high-complexity aerospace and defense production environment.
Manage the execution of top-level Quality Management System (QMS) processes and coordinate resources for internal and external audits.
Lead the implementation and adoption of QMS software across multiple manufacturing sites and supplier locations.
Develop a long-term QMS roadmap to scale tools, capabilities, and processes in alignment with company growth.
Partner with engineering teams to develop digital tools and prepare production sites for readiness reviews.
Serve as a subject matter expert for quality data sets, tools, and internal process execution.
Manage the internal auditor program and perform root cause analysis on findings from audits and customer visits.
Coordinate with external audit agencies and support customers during their specific audit requirements.
Create QMS training modules and manage the tracking of training records for relevant personnel.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing.
Expert knowledge of QMS requirements and auditing in complex environments for standards such as ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D.
Working knowledge of QMS software solutions including Net Inspect, Siemens, SAP, ETQ, One Factory, MasterControl, Compliance Quest, Hexagon, PTC, or QT9.
Hands-on experience with data analytics platforms, reporting tools, and basic data visualization.
Demonstrated project management for software system implementation and onboarding internal and external users.
Knowledge of ERP, PLM, and BI systems along with understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and contract organizations.
U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
Preferred certifications include AS9100 lead auditor or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications.
