As a Senior Platform Software Engineer on the OCI Developer Platform team, you will design, build, and operate core services and APIs for a new application deployment system. What you'll do

Design, build, test, and operate core services and APIs for the OCI application deployment platform.
Deliver resilient and scalable deployment workflows across diverse environments and service architectures.
Translate ambiguous platform requirements into clear technical designs and high-quality software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Build safety features including isolation, policy enforcement, auditability, and robust failure handling into products by default.
Develop platform primitives that enable AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining security controls and human oversight.
Use operational signals and customer feedback to improve developer experience, performance, and deployment success rates.
Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, and technical leadership.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software development experience with distributed systems, platform services, or developer tools.
Strong programming skills in modern languages such as Java, Go, C++, C#, or Python.
Experience designing APIs, data models, and service architectures for scalability, availability, security, and operability.
Solid understanding of cloud-native systems including containers, orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
Demonstrated ability to drive work from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and operation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
