As a Senior Partner Solutions Architect, you will lead technical engagement with independent software vendors and strategic technology partners to build, embed, and deploy MongoDB-based solutions. You will serve as a senior technical advisor across the partner lifecycle, performing architecture reviews, designing reference architectures, and creating field-ready enablement materials for products like SaaS platforms and AI applications. Your daily work involves guiding partners through validation processes covering security, performance, and scalability while developing reusable assets to accelerate adoption. You will utilize technologies including MongoDB Atlas, Vector Search, and Data Federation while working with modern patterns such as microservices, Kubernetes, and retrieval-augmented generation. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, data modeling, and programming in languages like Python, Java, or Go to solve complex integration challenges within multi-tenant environments and cloud-native infrastructures.
Serve as the senior technical advisor for strategic ISV and technology partner engagements across various product types.
Lead technical discovery and architecture reviews to align partner workloads with MongoDB's value proposition.
Guide partners through a rigorous solution-assurance process covering security, performance, scalability, and lifecycle management.
Design reference architectures, integration patterns, deployment blueprints, and technical documentation for partner use.
Help partners integrate MongoDB into their products, SaaS platforms, and AI applications while defining support boundaries.
Create "better together" messaging and enablement materials to equip sales teams with consistent joint solution positioning.
Deliver technical workshops, webinars, and executive briefings to convert validated architectures into customer pipeline.
Develop scalable operating mechanisms for partner onboarding, evidence collection, and gap remediation.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in software architecture, software engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, partner engineering, enterprise architecture, or customer-facing technical leadership.
Demonstrated experience working directly with ISVs, SaaS companies, OEMs, technology partners, or strategic ecosystem partners.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, databases, APIs, networking, security, observability, high availability, and performance engineering.
Experience reviewing or designing production architectures for SaaS, embedded software, AI/agent applications, or customer-managed deployments.
Ability to code or prototype in one or more modern languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, C#, or SQL.
Experience with public cloud platforms and/or self-managed environments; Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, identity, OAuth, and cloud-native operations are valuable.
Experience with MongoDB products, technical validation programs, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, AI agents, or industry certifications (preferred).
