Senior Network Operations Engineer

What you'll do

• Monitor, triage, and mitigate network events while performing root-cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
• Execute planned network changes using established procedures and operational tooling.
• Provide on-call support to resolve complex technical issues affecting customers and services.
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Manage fault detection, escalation, and resolution in coordination with third-party vendors.
• Lead the development of runbooks, methods of procedure (MOPs), and team training materials.
• Forecast infrastructure demands and proactively manage capacity for network growth.
• Participate in network lifecycle management including build, refresh, and upgrade projects.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant network operations or engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VPNs, and TLS.
• Hands-on experience with at least three of the following: Juniper, Cisco, Arista, InfiniBand, firewalls, routers, switches, circuit management, or optical services.
• Experience in a large ISP, cloud provider, or complex enterprise network environment.
• Proficiency in Python (required) and preferred experience with Puppet, SQL, Ansible, and database systems.
• Experience supporting GPU, RDMA, InfiniBand, and NVIDIA networking technologies (highly desirable).
• Cisco, Arista, or Juniper certifications are desirable.
