Senior Manager, Technical Writing

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical writers through regular 1-on-1s and career development support.
• Define the documentation vision including tool selection, style guides, and information architecture.
• Translate complex technical material into user-friendly content for APIs, SDKs, and system integration guides.
• Manage the Docs-as-Code workflow using Git, Markdown, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Act as the primary bridge between Engineering, Product Management, and Support to integrate documentation into the SDLC.
• Prioritize projects and manage team bandwidth to meet release deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop content optimized for searchability across SEO and LLM platforms.
• Conduct in-depth interviews with subject matter experts to understand product architecture and functionality.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• At least 10 years of experience writing technical documentation for software solutions.
• At least 4 years of people management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Markdown and Git.
• Experience working with documentation authoring tools like Hugo, GitBook, and Confluence (preferred).
• Experience writing technical documentation for data security software (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in software development (preferred).
• 1+ year experience in a financial services industry (preferred).
