Senior Manager, Technical Writing

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical writers to support career development and project delivery.
• Define the documentation vision, including tool selection, style guides, and information architecture.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, system integration guides, and user manuals.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage the Docs-as-Code workflow using Git, Markdown, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Act as the primary bridge between Engineering, Product Management, and Support to integrate documentation into the SDLC.
• Use metrics and data to identify content gaps, drive planning, and prioritize documentation projects.
• Develop content optimized for searchability, SEO, and Large Language Model (LLM) performance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 10 years of experience writing technical documentation for software solutions.
• At least 4 years of people management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Markdown and Git.
• 5+ years experience working with documentation authoring tools like Hugo, GitBook, and Confluence (preferred).
• Experience writing technical documentation for data security software (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience with SDLC (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in software development (preferred).
