What you'll do

  • Design, execute, and review laboratory experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate new ingredients, products, and processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sweetener characteristics, application performance, and beverage taste optimization.
  • Manage the full project cycle for new ingredient evaluation from research proposal to technical recommendation.
  • Interpret analytical and sensory data to provide actionable insights for stakeholders and product development decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects by identifying technical gaps, defining scope, and coordinating with internal teams.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences across global teams.
  • Mentor and guide technicians or junior developers on specific research tasks and project goals.
  • Utilize scientific literature and supplier partnerships to develop innovative solutions aligned with business needs.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field required; Master’s degree with 4+ years or Ph.D. with 2+ years preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience for a Bachelor's holder, or the appropriate amount based on advanced degrees.
  • Minimum of 3 years of research experience in ingredients, food, or beverages.
  • Expertise in sweetener characteristics, application performance, and beverage formulation across various matrices.
  • Knowledge of carbonated and non-carbonated beverage processing techniques including syrup preparation, carbonation, and scale-up considerations.
  • Working knowledge of organic chemistry, including structures, functional groups, reactions, and properties relevant to ingredient performance.
  • Proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) including chemical handling, sample preparation, and data management.
  • Authorized to work.
