Senior Product Application Engineer

What you'll do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Windows Local AI and hardware-accelerated inference on Ryzen AI platforms.
• Partner with Microsoft and internal teams to validate AI scenarios and communicate developer requirements.
• Provide high-touch technical support for OEM and ISV issues by reproducing problems and isolating root causes.
• Develop and maintain customer-facing technical documentation, including architecture guidance, tutorials, and troubleshooting material.
• Create reference applications, sample code, and diagnostic utilities to help developers deploy AI workloads.
• Execute competitive analysis and benchmarking across AI PC platforms to provide data-driven recommendations to engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related equivalent.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Windows Local AI and Windows ML, including model deployment and hardware-accelerated inference.
• Provide high-touch technical support for OEM and ISV issues, including reproducing problems, leading triage, and isolating root causes.
• Own and maintain customer-facing technical documentation, architecture guidance, tutorials, and sample code for Ryzen AI.
• Create reference applications, diagnostic utilities, and technical collateral to help developers deploy AI workloads on Windows.
• Plan and execute competitive analysis and benchmarking across AMD and competitive AI PC platforms.
• Relevant experience in AI inference solutions, applications engineering, software engineering, or benchmarking (preferred).
• Strong hands-on programming and debugging skills in Python and C/C++ on Windows (preferred).
• Practical experience with AI/ML inference workflows and frameworks such as PyTorch, ONNX, or Hugging Face (preferred).
• Working knowledge of performance analysis, benchmarking methodology, and workload characterization (preferred).
