Senior Product Application Engineer

What you'll do

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Windows Local AI and hardware-accelerated inference on Ryzen AI platforms.
• Partner with Microsoft and internal teams to validate Windows AI scenarios and communicate developer requirements.
• Provide high-touch technical support by reproducing, triaging, and resolving escalated OEM and ISV issues.
• Develop and maintain customer-facing technical documentation including architecture guidance, tutorials, and troubleshooting materials.
• Create reference applications, sample code, and diagnostic utilities to help developers deploy AI workloads on Windows.
• Execute competitive analysis and benchmarking across AI PC platforms to provide data-driven insights for engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in AI inference solutions, applications engineering, software engineering, benchmarking, or performance engineering.
• Strong hands-on programming and debugging skills in Python and C/C++ on Windows platforms.
• Practical experience with AI/ML inference workflows and frameworks such as PyTorch, ONNX, ONNX Runtime, or Hugging Face.
• Experience writing high-quality developer documentation, technical tutorials, sample code, or customer-facing engineering guides.
• Working knowledge of performance analysis, benchmarking methodology, workload characterization, and results interpretation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools and technologies to accelerate problem solving and improve software quality.
