Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer, AWM FinOps

What you'll do

• Build technical capabilities to optimize cloud and platform spend and improve value realization.
• Detect cloud waste and drive remediation through rightsizing, scheduling, and elastic scaling.
• Translate cost and usage data into actionable engineering work for various stakeholders.
• Track cloud spending against budgets, forecasts, and realized savings.
• Manage AWS infrastructure including Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS on Fargate, and Karpenter.
• Develop and maintain automation tools using Python and JavaScript with production best practices.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Quantify waste and estimate expected savings through financial variance analysis and forecasting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s in CS/CIS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong AWS engineering fundamentals with cost awareness including billing concepts, tagging, and cost attribution.
• Proficiency in Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS on Fargate, and Karpenter or comparable Kubernetes autoscaling concepts.
• Experience with Terraform, GIT workflows, Bitbucket, and IDE proficiency.
• Experience with Harness or Jenkins pipelines and working knowledge of Spinnaker.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript to build and maintain production-grade automation.
• Financial literacy in budgets, variance analysis, forecasting, and quantifying/measuring realized savings.
• Experience in FinOps specialization, LLM-enabled workflows, time series forecasting, or container cost attribution (preferred).
