What you'll do

Lead the design and architecture of infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, network, and virtualization platforms.
Drive infrastructure initiatives from concept to production, including build, migration, upgrade, and decommission activities.
Translate business requirements into engineering requirements and technical designs aligned with technology strategy.
Establish and enforce runbooks, monitoring standards, capacity planning, and operational readiness criteria.
Proactively identify infrastructure risks and execute mitigation plans for resiliency gaps and security exposures.
Incorporate security-by-design principles, including identity controls, encryption, and vulnerability management, into all designs.
Drive adoption of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and repeatable deployment patterns for infrastructure modernization.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to analyze complex infrastructure signals and document mitigation options.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering with proven ownership of solution design and delivery in large-scale enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits.
Deep expertise in Windows/Linux systems, virtualization or containers, networking, storage, and backup/recovery concepts.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical design reviews, influence decision-making, and align diverse stakeholders.
Strong experience in risk management, resiliency planning (HA/DR), and operational readiness.
Proficiency with observability stacks, capacity forecasting, and performance engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and present to leadership.
