The Lead Infrastructure Engineer joins the Corporate Sector – Chief Technology Office team to deliver infrastructure and performance excellence. This role involves applying technical expertise to design, develop, and troubleshoot infrastructure changes for BI platforms across Windows, Linux, AWS, and SaaS environments. Key responsibilities include leading workstreams for cloud networking, compute, storage, load balancing, and DNS while automating delivery through Infrastructure as Code and repeatable build practices. The engineer will use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate analysis and documentation while ensuring security and auditability. Required skills include proficiency in Python, Snowflake, and Databricks, alongside experience with observability, telemetry, and incident management. The role focuses on platform modernization, managing upstream dependencies, and maintaining resilient, scalable solutions within regulated, audit-controlled environments for a large user base.
Build security and compliance controls such as least privilege, encryption, and audit-ready logging.
Develop and execute safe change plans with testing and phased rollouts to minimize impact on users.
Drive reliability improvements using telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and post-incident documentation.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as networking, databases, storage, deployment practices, automation, or performance assessments.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation to ensure outcomes align with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages, including required experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
Hands-on experience operating Windows and Linux environments and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and scripting for automation.
Strong incident management skills and demonstrated ability to lead cross-team delivery by translating requirements into technical designs.
