Senior Lead Data Management Analyst, Data & AI Enablement serves as a strategic bridge within the Wealth and Investment Management team to transform business priorities into governed, scalable data solutions. This individual contributor role focuses on data strategy, architecture direction, and semantic enablement rather than hands-on engineering. You will translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for data products, APIs, and semantic models while ensuring high standards for metadata, lineage, and quality. The role involves assessing organizational readiness for AI initiatives, designing ontologies, and managing knowledge representations to support responsible AI solutions. Key competencies include performing SQL analysis, profiling source systems, and navigating governance frameworks. You will utilize skills in data modeling, business rules, and risk management to improve data accessibility and interoperability while ensuring compliance with privacy and security standards across the enterprise's data ecosystem.
Translate business priorities and AI use cases into scalable data products, semantic models, and reusable enterprise capabilities.
Define requirements for data governance, quality, and control to support the design and delivery of data products.
Analyze source systems, data flows, and metadata using SQL and stakeholder engagement to identify risks and improve data quality.
Evaluate authoritative data sources based on completeness, lineage, and business value to recommend integration and architecture approaches.
Assess organizational readiness for AI initiatives by evaluating metadata maturity, privacy controls, and monitoring capabilities.
Design and guide semantic frameworks including ontologies, knowledge representations, and standardized business vocabularies.
Establish end-to-end data lineage and traceability from source systems through APIs and semantic layers to business use cases.
Partner with risk, compliance, and security teams to ensure all data solutions align with regulatory expectations and policies.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management.
5+ years of hands-on experience translating business needs into data requirements, source decisions, mappings, analytical findings, or governed data solutions.
Experience in financial services, preferably wealth management, brokerage, trust, fiduciary services, investment management, or regulatory reporting (preferred).
Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, business intelligence, digital transformation, or AI initiatives within complex organizations (preferred).
Experience leading data strategy, metadata management, data governance, semantic enablement, enterprise architecture, or data product initiatives (preferred).
Experience with ontology management, knowledge graphs, semantic technologies, or industry standards like RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL, JSON-LD, Protégé, or FIBO (preferred).
Knowledge of enterprise metadata, lineage, data quality, privacy, security, and governance frameworks (preferred).
Experience with modern cloud-based platforms, enterprise data catalogs, or applying Generative AI and RAG technologies (preferred).
