The Senior Business Systems Analyst, AI Enablement serves as a strategic liaison within the Development Sciences team to facilitate the adoption of AI automation, generative AI, and agentic AI. This role focuses on translating business needs into actionable user stories and process flows while managing requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. The incumbent will partner with Regulatory Affairs and IT to identify opportunities for report automation supporting dossier submissions, such as INDs and BLAs. Key responsibilities include conducting value assessments, managing backlogs, and ensuring alignment with AI governance and responsible AI practices. The position requires practical knowledge of large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and machine learning fundamentals. Candidates must possess strong relationship management skills to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical AI engineering teams.
Translate business needs into actionable user stories, process flows, and functional requirements for AI-enabled solutions.
Identify opportunities for AI automation and reporting to improve efficiency in dossier submissions and regulatory affairs.
Facilitate requirements gathering and alignment between business stakeholders and AI engineering teams.
Support AI initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle, including backlog refinement and release planning.
Assess solution feasibility, business value, and risks for generative AI and machine learning projects.
Ensure all AI solutions comply with corporate policies, privacy requirements, and responsible AI standards.
Develop adoption strategies, training materials, and user enablement activities to support new AI capabilities.
Create value assessments and business cases to prioritize AI projects based on strategic objectives.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related discipline plus 5 years’ experience; or Master’s Degree plus 4 years’ experience.
Experience in business systems analysis, business systems consulting, product ownership, project delivery, or technology consulting.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions.
Experience partnering with GxP or regulated environments.
Experience partnering with AI engineers, product managers, and digital teams to support enterprise software delivery initiatives.
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, Agile practices, and modern product delivery approaches.
Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic AI, machine learning fundamentals, and AI governance.
Experience supporting AI, analytics, digital transformation, or automation initiatives in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or manufacturing (preferred).
