The Senior Business Systems Analyst, AI Enablement serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineering teams to facilitate the adoption of AI automation, generative AI, and agentic AI within Development Sciences. This role focuses on translating complex business needs into actionable user stories and technical requirements while managing the full software development lifecycle for reporting tools that support dossier submissions like INDs and BLAs. The successful candidate will navigate a regulated GxP environment to ensure compliance with corporate governance and responsible AI standards. Key competencies include proficiency in large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and machine learning fundamentals. You will act as a trusted advisor to identify automation opportunities, manage project backlogs, and coordinate with IT and Regulatory Affairs to improve the quality and consistency of submission-related reporting across various modalities.
Translate business needs into actionable user stories, process flows, and technical requirements for AI engineering teams.
Identify opportunities where AI can automate reporting and improve efficiency in dossier submissions.
Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT to align on AI goals.
Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on feasibility, business value, and risk assessment.
Ensure all AI solutions comply with corporate policies, governance requirements, and responsible AI standards.
Support the full software development lifecycle including backlog refinement, testing, and change management.
Develop adoption strategies, training materials, and communication plans to enable user acceptance of new AI tools.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field plus 5 years of experience; or a Master’s Degree plus 4 years of experience.
Experience in business systems analysis, consulting, product ownership, project delivery, or technology consulting.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements while translating business needs into technical solutions.
Experience partnering with GxP or regulated environments.
Experience collaborating with AI engineers, product managers, and digital teams to support enterprise software delivery.
Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, Agile practices, and modern product delivery approaches.
Practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, machine learning fundamentals, and AI governance/responsible AI practices.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or manufacturing industries (preferred); familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms (preferred).
