What you'll do

Build and evolve a multi-threaded, Linux-based, real-time Java platform handling high-throughput event flows.
Design and architect core components while making high-level architectural decisions for complex cross-team initiatives.
Manage and optimize large sharded MongoDB clusters to become a subject matter expert on performance and behavior.
Validate the accuracy of financial calculations within the core cashflow calculator to ensure numerical correctness.
Improve test automation and deployment practices to mature the existing CI/CD pipelines.
Lead L3 support for North America by resolving high-priority incidents and ambiguous technical problems.
Integrate AI tools into the software development lifecycle to accelerate production workflows.
Mentor junior engineers while providing technical leadership on complex, large-scale systems.

What we're looking for

10+ years of experience in Java, server-side, concurrent/multi-threaded programming, Spring Boot, and JUnit.
Solid understanding of message-based architectures including Kafka and/or IBM MQ.
Strong RDBMS skills with proficiency writing complex SQL; Sybase or DB2 preferred.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting using Shell or Python.
Experience operating or tuning large-scale sharded MongoDB clusters (preferred).
Comfort with financial calculations and numerical correctness (preferred).
Knowledge of the Equity Derivatives business (preferred).
Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into an engineering workflow (preferred).
