Senior Hardware Engineer, DC/DC Power

What you'll do

• Architect and validate DC-DC power delivery systems for compute, storage, and AI platforms.
• Lead the design and simulation of multiphase regulators, point-of-load converters, and high-power ASIC module integration.
• Develop power solution concepts while evaluating technical trade-offs, risks, and benefits.
• Oversee and review internal engineering activities to ensure alignment with requirements and risk mitigation.
• Drive root cause analysis and resolution for complex power issues in production and development environments.
• Collaborate with ODMs and suppliers to qualify power components and systems.
• Conduct EMI, thermal, and reliability testing across global deployments.
• Influence product architecture and roadmaps through expert knowledge of DC-DC power systems.

What we're looking for

• Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
• 5+ years (MS) or 3 years (PhD) of experience in multiphase regulation, point-of-load conversion, and system-level integration (preferred).
• 5+ years (MS) or 3 years (PhD) of experience in DC-DC power system design and validation (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience with product bring-up and troubleshooting skills with power supply testing methodologies (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience developing design specifications, design guidelines, and test plans (preferred).
• Proven knowledge in power converter control theory and PWM/resonant converters (preferred).
• Experience with high-frequency inductor design, high-power DCDC modules, or vertical power module design (preferred).
• Experience with SI/PI tools, PCB layout for low-noise conversion, and hyperscale data center infrastructure (preferred).
