The Senior Field Engineer - ECH SME - US Remote joins the Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team to support public safety solutions. This role involves performing system configurations for on-premise and cloud-hosted Emergency Call Handling solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications. Key responsibilities include site verification testing, troubleshooting connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments, and documenting API integrations and tenant configurations. The engineer must manage the implementation phase, resolve quality issues, and develop Methods of Procedure for migrations. Required technical skills include experience with RedHat KVM, VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, SQL Server, and Cisco IOS. Candidates must possess telephony knowledge regarding PRI, SIP interfaces, and ACD call routing. The work focuses on deploying critical communication infrastructure for emergency services and public safety sectors.
Perform system configuration for all assigned ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
Conduct site verification testing prior to cutting a site into a production environment.
Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments.
Provide technical support to customers and channel partners during the production deployment of ECH solutions.
Document all solution changes, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations, during the implementation phase.
Develop and approve Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
Participate in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
Maintain subject matter expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
What we're looking for
High School diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Technology.
5+ years of experience working in an Engineering or Technical environment.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
Must possess or be eligible for a US passport for international travel up to 75%.
Experience with Cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of Server Virtualization, Database Servers, and Server/Workstation Operating Systems.
Knowledge of telephony (analog/PRI), ACD call routing, SIP interfaces, and SBC provisioning.
3+ years of experience in the deployment or Integration of complex IP products and systems (preferred).
