Field Engineer - Emergency Call Handling joins the Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team to deliver critical solutions for the public safety sector. This role is responsible for implementing on-premise and cloud-hosted Emergency Call Handling systems, including configuration, site verification testing, and post-cut support. The engineer will manage system configurations for hybrid cloud and SaaS applications, troubleshoot connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments, and document API integrations and tenant configurations. Configure on-premise, hybrid cloud, and SaaS-based Emergency Call Handling solutions for public safety clients.
Perform site verification testing before transitioning systems into production environments.
Troubleshoot connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud-hosted application environments.
Provide technical support to customers and channel partners during the deployment phase.
Document all system changes, including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
Develop and approve Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
Participate in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
What we're looking for
Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D., Associate's degree, and a Bachelor's degree.
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
Willingness to travel more than 75% of the time.
3+ years of experience in the deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.
Experience with Cloud Platforms and Deployment Models such as Azure, AWS, or Private Cloud environments.
Experience troubleshooting cloud-based applications including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management.
Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting server virtualization (VMWare ESXi/Microsoft Hyper-V), database servers (MS SQL), and various operating systems.
Knowledge of network hardware, including Cisco IOS switches and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
