Senior Field Applications Engineer
The Senior Field Applications Engineer joins the US Field Applications Engineering team to serve as the primary technical bridge between engineering and customers. This role involves providing high-tier remote and on-site support, delivering comprehensive training for system operations, performing complex diagnostics and repairs, and managing inventory of demonstration equipment. The engineer will also develop test plans, provide sales support through demonstrations, and relay field data to internal teams for product improvement. Key technical requirements include a solid understanding of RF concepts like frequency and spectrum analysis, proficiency with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and multimeters, along with networking knowledge including TCP/IP and VLANs. The role focuses on the RFeye ecosystem, providing situational awareness and signal detection in complex electromagnetic environments to support military operators, national security agencies, and infrastructure protection.
Provide high-tier technical assistance and troubleshooting for complex RF systems both remotely and on-site.
Deliver comprehensive training to end users regarding basic and advanced system and software operations.
Perform diagnostics and high-level repairs on CRFS equipment in office and field environments.
Deploy to customer locations to configure, install, and support the integration of hardware.
Develop test plans and summary project reports to support customer exercises and activities.
Provide technical advice and system capability demonstrations to support sales team objectives.
Manage demonstration equipment inventory to ensure all items are calibrated and ready for deployment.
Relay field data and customer feature requests to internal teams to drive product improvements.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
Hold a B.S. in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related technical field (military technical school experience may substitute for a degree).
Possess 5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrate solid understanding of RF concepts and proficiency with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and multimeters.
Experience working on static sensitive equipment in ESD controlled environments.
Possess basic to intermediate networking skills including TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, and hardware configuration.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for domestic and international customer sites and trade events.
Active or prior Secret/TS clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
