Field Applications Engineer

What you'll do

• Analyze, debug, and root cause issues found within Broadcom’s PCIe switch and retimer products.
• Integrate Broadcom’s PCIe products into GP-GPUs, AI/ML platforms, storage servers, and custom designs.
• Guide customers through architecture reviews, schematic reviews, and design-in support.
• Train customers on the tools, software, and applications needed to implement PCIe designs.
• Advocate internally for new product features and expedite fixes for technical defects.
• Provide on-site customer support to assist with training and debugging of critical issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or related field of study.
• Master’s degree in engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience designing complex PCIe based products for Server, storage, machine learning, and/or AI applications.
• Hands-on, thorough knowledge of high-speed protocols like PCIe.
• Experience with silicon bring-up and debug in customer systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions to customers and internal teams.
