Applications Engineer I

What you'll do

• Design and test complete solutions to solve unique technical problems for customers.
• Define new products and features while performing product evaluations and field trials.
• Provide technical support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting and systems integration.
• Test and harden existing features using firmware and hardware changes in real-world applications.
• Support the Sales Engineering team by preparing demonstrations, training sessions, and reproducing field bugs.
• Create and maintain customer-facing documentation including manuals, guides, videos, and application notes.
• Oversee and advise the RMA and Loaner teams on equipment recommendations and request vetting.
• Travel up to 25% of the time to provide in-person engineering support and training at customer sites.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and customer interactions.
• Must have the ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in PC office applications and mobile devices is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for customer support and field testing.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. for demonstration setups and testing.
