Senior Engineer, Smart Manufacturing & AI Innovation Lead serves as a strategic bridge between manufacturing, engineering, data, and technology teams to drive the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and smart manufacturing capabilities. This role is responsible for defining transformation roadmaps, managing an initiative portfolio from ideation through deployment, and leading pilot projects in automation and machine learning. The individual will develop playbooks, standards, and governance frameworks while ensuring all solutions align with enterprise standards and business priorities. Key technical competencies include expertise in AI, machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation. The role addresses the challenge of scaling smart manufacturing across production sites by improving data quality and accessibility. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills to foster a community of practice and manage cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable improvements in supply chain capabilities and operational efficiency.
Define a smart manufacturing transformation roadmap by identifying and prioritizing high-value use cases aligned with business goals.
Manage the full lifecycle of the manufacturing AI portfolio from initial ideation through deployment and continuous optimization.
Lead the delivery of AI, machine learning, and automation pilot projects in partnership with technical and business teams.
Improve data quality, accessibility, and governance to enable scalable smart manufacturing solutions across the organization.
Ensure all AI initiatives comply with corporate governance frameworks, risk management protocols, and responsible AI practices.
Develop and maintain playbooks, standards, and operating models to accelerate the adoption of smart manufacturing technologies.
Track and communicate measurable business value and ROI from AI initiatives to executive stakeholders.
Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities that strengthen supply chain capabilities.
What we're looking for
8-12 years of experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience leading AI, digital transformation, advanced analytics, automation, or technology-enabled business initiatives within supply chain, operations, manufacturing, or related domains (preferred).
Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with experience building communities of practice and driving organizational adoption of new technologies (preferred).
Demonstrated experience successfully deploying AI, machine learning, generative AI, or intelligent automation solutions from concept through production implementation.
Experience establishing governance frameworks, standards, and controls for AI solutions while balancing innovation and risk management.
Experience building AI adoption frameworks, communities of practice, or training programs to promote sustainable capability development.
Experience within large-scale global organizations recognized for advanced AI, digital, or supply chain capabilities (preferred).
