Design and implement machine vision systems for industrial automation, quality inspection, and process monitoring.
Specify, procure, and validate core vision components including cameras, lenses, lighting, and controllers.
Oversee the installation, validation, and commissioning of vision systems across multiple production lines.
Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers to improve team technical capabilities.
Conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for vision system errors and process failures.
Train production staff on the daily operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of vision equipment.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Robotics, or a related discipline.
5+ years of hands-on industry experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine vision systems in a manufacturing environment.
Direct experience with industrial hardware ecosystems such as Cognex, Keyence, Basler, or Sick.
Proficiency with core vision and deep learning software including OpenCV, Halcon, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
Strong coding skills in Python, C#, or C++.
Deep understanding of camera selection, lens optics, resolution, lighting techniques, and sensor calibration.
Direct experience interfacing vision systems with industrial controls like PLCs and robotics.
Mastery of rules-based tools, advanced defect detection, AI-based vision, and SPC methodologies; Industry 4.0, Git, CI/CD, and 3D imaging (preferred); Secret or Top-Secret clearance (preferred).
