Senior Engineer, SCADA and Controls Engineering

What you'll do

• Design and implement BMS, BAS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for new data center builds and retrofits.
• Develop controls system standards, reference designs, and engineering specifications for global portfolios.
• Define system architectures including topology, communication protocols, tagging standards, and alarming strategies.
• Validate that controls systems meet engineering standards and operational requirements during project design reviews.
• Perform functional testing and commissioning for controls systems integrated with mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Implement secure controls architectures by coordinating with network and cybersecurity teams on segmentation and connectivity.
• Manage vendor deliverables to ensure point lists, tagging standards, and metadata meet engineering requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for issues involving controls systems.

What we're looking for

• Must have 5–7 years of experience in data center engineering, mission-critical infrastructure, or industrial control systems.
• Must have experience supporting the design, integration, or deployment of BMS, BAS, EPMS, or SCADA systems in complex facilities.
• Must have working knowledge of controls system architectures, field instrumentation, SCADA/historian platforms, and alarm management.
• Must have working knowledge of controls commissioning, functional testing practices, and OT networking fundamentals.
• Must be familiar with industrial communication protocols such as BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, or MQTT.
• Must possess strong technical documentation and communication skills to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and vendor teams.
• Experience supporting mission-critical or hyperscale data center environments (preferred).
• Experience with Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation) or similar enterprise SCADA platforms (preferred).
