This role focuses on automating high-rate manufacturing for rocket motor systems.

What you'll do

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
Architect, write, and debug structured Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing applications.
Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition including tag architecture, Perspective screens, and historian configuration.
Integrate FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve automation failures and ensure reliability.
Install, configure, and tune servo drives and VFDs.
Establish internal standards for control system architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
4+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment.
Expert proficiency in Siemens PLC programming using Ladder and Structured Text.
Proficiency in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, and ethernet-based communication protocols.
Experience developing SCADA applications in Ignition including Perspective, tag architecture, and historian configuration.
Knowledge of electrical component selection, wire sizing, circuit protection, heat management, and pneumatic design.
Experience performing Risk Assessments, Controls Safety Design, and familiarity with NFPA70e practices.
Must be a U.S. Person due to export control requirements.
6+ years of experience in controls and automation (preferred).
Experience with control panel layout, electrical component selection, cable routing, and 600VAC troubleshooting (preferred).
TUV FS Engineer certification (preferred).
