Senior SCADA Controls Engineer, Rocket Motor Systems

What you'll do

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug structured Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing applications.
• Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition, including tag architecture and Perspective screens.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into production lines and automation equipment.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives and VFDs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures to ensure long-term reliability.
• Generate and enforce internal standards for control system architectures and regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environment.
• Expert in Siemens PLC programming using Ladder and Structured Text.
• Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, and STO/SS.
• Strong knowledge of ethernet based communication protocols including ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, and Ethernet IP.
• Proficient with electrical component selection, wire sizing, circuit protection, and heat management.
• Experience developing SCADA applications in Ignition including Perspective, tag architecture, and historian.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
