What you'll do

  • Create concepts and direct the design and development of complex engineering projects using technical principles.
  • Lead and coordinate design, analysis, and computer simulation efforts for electrification products.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, development plans, and ensure all project milestones are met on schedule.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products and coordinate product testing.
  • Resolve design and manufacturing problems by collaborating with manufacturability teams and using statistical process controls.
  • Travel to plants, dealerships, and customer sites to troubleshoot designs and evaluate product improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance to other engineers to ensure project development schedules are met.

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering or related occupation.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam for schematics.
  • Experience in design and development of DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC converters for high efficiency and reliability.
  • Experience with circuit simulations using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, or PSIM.
  • Experience selecting and evaluating power semiconductor devices including IGBTs, MOSFETs, and SiC/GaN.
  • Knowledge of standards including NEC, EPA, SAE J1995, OSHA, IEC, ROHS, and UL.
  • Experience with up to 1.5KV converter design and architecture; Rectifiers, Transformers, or Batteries (NMC and LFP); and PVsyst/etap for analysis.
