Senior Engineer, Core Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Design and optimize distributed system components for high scalability, reliability, and large-scale data processing.
• Build fault-tolerant features using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and retry mechanisms.
• Develop telemetry systems, dashboards, and automated alerts to proactively monitor and detect system failures.
• Create automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for troubleshooting and infrastructure management.
• Perform load testing, fault injection, and brown-out scenarios to ensure system correctness and performance.
• Participate in incident response rotations, including root cause analysis and the creation of operational runbooks.
• Implement advanced security controls such as encryption and access management in multi-tenant environments.
• Ensure infrastructure compliance with industry standards through consistent documentation and remediation plans.

What we're looking for

• Hold a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Possess 3–5+ years of software engineering experience building reliable services, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Demonstrate strong programming skills in Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, or Python.
• Maintain a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Possess experience or interest in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, Linux systems, containers, storage, networking, security, and control planes.
• Ability to design, build, test, and debug reliable software within a large, evolving codebase.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, collaboration skills, and an ownership-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in distributed systems, kernel programming, Linux, and system programming.
