What you'll do

Design and optimize distributed system components for high scalability, reliability, and large-scale data processing.
Build fault-tolerant features using redundancy, replication, automatic failover, circuit breakers, and retry mechanisms.
Develop telemetry systems, dashboards, and automated alerts to proactively monitor and detect component failures.
Create automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for troubleshooting and infrastructure management.
Perform load testing, fault injection, and brown-out scenarios to ensure system correctness and availability.
Participate in incident response rotations, perform root cause analyses, and author operational runbooks.
Implement advanced security controls including encryption and access management in multi-tenant environments.
Ensure all cloud infrastructure complies with industry standards and maintains up-to-date technical documentation.

What we're looking for

Hold a BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Possess 3 to 5+ years of software engineering experience building reliable services, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
Demonstrate strong programming skills in at least one system or backend language such as Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, or Python.
Maintain a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, concurrency, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Possess experience or interest in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, Linux systems, containers, storage, networking, security, schedulers, control planes, or management planes.
Ability to design, build, test, and debug reliable software within a large, evolving codebase.
Exhibit strong communication skills, collaboration skills, and an ownership-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in distributed systems, kernel programming, Linux, and system programming.
