The Senior Division Operations, RMS role is situated within the Rocket Motor Systems group, which designs and manufactures solid rocket motors for defense and space applications. Daily responsibilities include evaluating program schedules, flowing demand to the shop floor, deconflicting competing interests between stakeholders, and developing demand forecasts for both contracted work and new proposals. You will utilize Microsoft Office, Project, and Jira to drive continuous improvement and foster cross-disciplinary communication. The role addresses critical manufacturing challenges in propulsion technology, requiring a candidate with strong analytical skills and experience navigating the complexities of aerospace and defense production environments to ensure on-time delivery of mission-critical systems.
Evaluate program schedules to flow demand to the shop floor for on-time delivery of contracted work.
Deconflict competing program interests while balancing production capacity to minimize overtime and conflicts.
Assess new proposals with Business Development to determine schedule feasibility and impact on existing commitments.
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for both current contracts and upcoming proposal demands.
Integrate cross-domain inputs from engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to generate high-quality project plans.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the program using advanced technologies and methodologies.
Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making across all departments.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, program management, management consulting, or operations.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex development projects.
Excellent organizational, leadership, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills to use data for recommendations and decisions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and Jira.
Willingness to travel 25% - 50% to support project objectives and customer engagements.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline (preferred); knowledge of rocket motor systems and propulsion technologies (preferred).
